Summer Nights with Puck

I was just reading my Daily Candy newsletter and I found out that my favorite chef, Wolfgang Puck, is opening a new Los Angeles restaurant! Yay! It's called WP24 and it's in the Ritz-Carlton on Olympic. This Los Angeles restaurant is positioned at the top of the Ritz. I've already decided what I'm going to order at this Los Angeles restaurant and I'm literally salivating at the thought of it. Don't judge, you know you do it too. So to start I want with the Crispy Suckling Pig, with Black Plum Purée, Pickled Cipollini, and Sweet Bean. And then I want the Steamed Live Santa Barbara Spot Prawns with Aromatic Citrus-Soy Sauce, Hot Chili-Orange Oil, and veggies. And I want wine. Lots of wine. Time to make my reservation at this Los Angeles restaurant.

Pizza and Beer. Need I Say More?

Nothing beats Saturday afternoon pizza and beer. I've been searching for the Los Angeles restaurant that serves the best pizza and stumbled on Pepz Pizza. It's actually a small chain with 6 locations in the Los Angeles area, including Anaheim, Yorba Linda, La Habra and Placentia. This Los Angeles restaurant serves the normal fare: pizza, salad, wings and pastas. The service is very friendly with a familial attitude. I recommend the Alfredo pizza which has a white sauce, chicken, and onion. Pretty legit if you're feeling like a dietary splurge. In fact, there is a deal with SocialBuy.com, where you can get $20 worth of food for only $10 (and it's valid at all six locations!). In addition, there is take-out, delivery and outdoor dining available, so you can get whatever your heart desires at this Los Angeles restaurant.

Living the High Life

I just read about The Lounge at WP24, which just soft-opened at the new Ritz-Carlton on 900 W Olympic Blvd. It's located on the 24th floor and looks like a posh Los Angeles restaurant. I had a peek this this Los Angeles restaurant menu and am stoked to check it out. I'm down to try the Aviation cocktail, which is Hendrick’s, Luxardo Maraschino, Lemon and Crème de Violette. And the food had me salivating already, like the Tempura Green Beans with Goucho jang Chili Aioli and Curry Salt and also the fire roasted pork belly. Yum... I'm looking to go to this Los Angeles restaurant sometime this week.

How I love Paris

I'm going to Paris this summer and I felt like I needed a little primer, in the form of a Los Angeles restaurant. Introducing Le Saint Amour in Culver City. I went for lunch with a co-worker and really enjoyed this Los Angeles restaurant. I started with the French Onion Soup, which was heavy on the cheese and sherry, which are basically my fave things ever. Then I had the seafood crepes, which are still making my mouth water and ended with the chocolate mousse with cointreau. The service at this Los Angeles restaurant was impeccable, the ambiance was sweet, and the food was definitely worth it. Now I just can't wait to go to Paris.

A Cozy Little Nook in Santa Monica

Don't let the cruddy strip mall setting prevent you from trying the amazing Los Angeles restaurant, Nook, on Santa Monica, between Barry and Federal. This American bistro is open for lunch and dinner and has the best chocolate banana bread pudding ever! For lunch, I recommend the catfish burrito with lemon aioli ($10) - yum! (Def get it charred catfish.) If you mosey over for dinner at this Los Angeles restaurant, get the Shiitake & Gruyere Bread Pudding ($7) and the maple glazed mustard rib-eye ($26) - you won't regret it. I love Americana food that is glammed up and this is for sure one of the best places to go for that kind of food. The intimate atmosphere at this sleek, modern Los Angeles restaurant bowls me over everytime I go, so check it out!

Spring is Here - Let's Celebrate

Vivian's Millennium Cafe is really everything you can ask for in a Los Angeles restaurant. It's clean, well-lit, intimate. The food at this Los Angeles restaurant is incredibly fresh and well-prepared and the banana pancakes are perfection. The bananas are thinly sliced and the pancakes are fluffy and delicious. This Los Angeles restaurant is located on Ventrua Blvd. in Studio City and it's sort of a blink-and-you'll-miss-it brunch place for the locals. At SocialBuy.com, you can purchase a voucher for $5 for $10 worth of food and drinks. Pretty legit deal. I wish I could just peace from work now, go to Vivian's and gorge on fresh food and the enjoy the beautiful day. Instead, I'll just hope that you do it.

Real Food? What's that?

Even though it seems like there is a vegetarian/vegan craze going on right now, it’s still pretty hard to find a Los Angeles restaurant that serves good vegan food. Real Food Daily is located on La Cienega in West Hollywood. The best part of this Los Angeles restaurant is that you don’t feel like you’re missing out on meat. The two things I tried were the peanut butter cookies, which were basically heaven in a bite, and the Supreme Burrito which has Spanish rice, beans, avocado, cashew cheese, onions and pepper, and Ranchero sauce. It also has tempeh bacon, which is the best thing I have ever had in my life. It tastes like pig bacon, crunchy and salty and delicious. Totally bacon without the pig. This is a wonderful and affordable Los Angeles restaurant for vegan food so check it out.

Craving Crawfish Po Boys? I am

The Bayou Grille in Crenshaw is hands down the best Los Angeles restaurant for my favorite Creole food, like Po Boys and Sweet Potato Fries. If you don't know what a Po Boy is, it is a sub sandwich stuffed with fried meat or seafood, like shrimp or crawfish. A dressed Po Boy has lettuce, mustard, tomatoes, and can be spicy or regular. Also at this Los Angeles restaurant, you have to try the Jambalaya and the etoufee. On a brisk day like this, how could you not crave a deliciously wonderful Po Boy. I kind of want to leave work early and go back to this Los Angeles restaurant.

A Beautiful Way to Start or End the Week

So my new fave Los Angeles restaurant is East in Hollywood, this Japanese French fusion lounge. OMG. Freakin' amazing. It's super-posh and you have to order the Blush Martini, the Dinosaur egg (which is an avocado shell stuffed with tuna with unagi and siracha and Hamachi with the spicy orange soy lime sauce nad green papaya). YOU HAVE TO GET THIS. GO NOW AND ORDER IT. I think I died and went to heaven it was so good. So with this Los Angeles restaurant, there is this deal with SocialBuy.com where you can get $15 worth of drinks for only $7, which is pretty legit. Also, SocialBuy is also hosting an event at this Los Angeles restaurant next Tuesday, March 9 from 5-8, a SociaLite for cool peeps. I'm definitely going to check it out, so you should check it out too!

Like I've said before, finding deals in Los Angeles is super-easy, and sometimes they take the form of the Los Angeles restaurant. Grub, a Los Angeles restaurant in Hollywood, doesn't have a special or anything like that going on, but it's my go-to for a delicious brunch. This Los Angeles restaurant serves the most amazing French Toast of my life - it's made with a cinnamon vanilla batter and is served with raspberry butter and fresh fruit. I'm literally salivating over my computer. Also, the place is just too cute - they give you dry cereal to munch on before your food comes and they have this sweet little patio outside that gives off a picnic-esque feel. If you're craving a legit brunch, check out this Los Angeles restaurant.

Loco for Boba Loca

You know how I love profiling cafes on my Los Angeles restaurant blog; I mean cafes are restaurants too! And my cafe of choice this week is Boba Loca in Westwood. It's pretty legit for a couple of reasons: A) Cute male workers. B) Way too many slush, frappe and boba combos to even dream of. C) Yummy vegan cookies. D) Free Wi-Fi. All this things equal an enlightening study session, not to mention that you can almost always find a spot to sit. I mean, if you really get hungry, you can wander around the corner to another "real" Los Angeles restaurant, but Boba Loca is the place to hit up for an iced tea and a vanilla almond biscotti. Plus, the ambiance can't be matched by any old Los Angeles restaurant. It has an antique house kind of feel and the music the cute male workers have playing is equally cute and quirky. Go now!

The Best Thai Food Ever!

Omg. A Los Angeles restaurant changed my life last night. Spicy BBQ Restaurant on Santa Monica was literally the best Northern Thai food I have ever had, hands down. First of all, it is cheap as dirt, but is literally edible gold. The BBQ chicken is spicy, sweet, juicy but well-cooked. The Spicy Thai salad with beef was refreshing and the glass noodles were perfectly done and the ingredients were so fresh - I felt like it was made for a family in a home, rather than mass produced at a Los Angeles restaurant. Plus, the service is friendly and approachable and gave that family feeling as well - not what you normally get at a Los Angeles restaurant. I just loved my experience - go there tonight!

Yummy Fresh Fish, Sunshine and Beach

With the glorious weather we had today, I was inspired to find a Los Angeles restaurant on the beach that I could try. I stumbled across Reel Inn Restaurant Fresh Fish market on SocialBuy.com and it's exactly the type of Los Angeles restaurant I'm looking for - fresh food and a beautiful Malibu beach. They serve fresh fish in a variety of mouthwatering ways and with the deal that I purchased on SocialBuy.com, I got a voucher for $30 that only cost me $15. Dinner for two at a delicious Malibu restaurant, here we come! Fresh fish, a scenic location, and being a part of California surf history at one of its original fish shacks, AND a SocialBuy voucher? Sign me up!

Not Really a Jersey Shore Kind of Place

To be honest, I went to Guido's Ristorante on Santa Monica in part because I was inspired by Jersey Shore. This Los Angeles restaurant definitely did not emanate a guido feel a.k.a. I didn't feel like Snooki would be walking through the door. The waiters wear tuxedos, which is super-cute and the service was amazing for such a packed Los Angeles restaurant. I really enjoy the lobster ravioli and the Chocolate Windmill Cake. Delish. It was a little on the expensive side (approximately $40 a person,) but had a very old school Italian feel to it. I enjoyed my experience at this Los Angeles restaurant and will probably be back.

Free Parking and Corkage? For Sure!

What am I looking for in a Los Angeles restaurant? I'll tell you: a cozy ambiance, good paninis, a cafe nearby for an after-dinner coffee and parking. And what restaurant has all these things? Rosti Tuscan Chicken, a sweet little Los Angeles restaurant, in Santa Monica. It's right next to Cafe Luxxe, which is one of my favorite cafes ever, which is how I discovered Rosti. But this restaurant also doesn't charge a corkage fee, so I can bring my own favorite wine to the restaurant, instead of paying an arm and a leg for a mediocre house wine. I had the turkey panini and it was great. My friend had the pasta and thought it was pretty great too. I went for lunch today after I got a voucher from SocialBuy.com for $25 worth of food for only $10. So it was a great deal at a great Los Angeles restaurant and it was delish. Perf!

Irish Coffee Makes Me Love the Rain

I love Kitchen 24 in Hollywood. It's the perfect Los Angeles restaurant to start the night out - or to end it. Last time I was there, it was raining so my friends and I got the Irish coffee for half off. And I was seriously tipsy after drinking half of it. We had to ask the waiter to bring chocolate syrup over to us so we could temper our drink. Definitely worth the price! It's the epitome of a Los Angeles restaurant: always open, always busy, cool decor and updated favorite dishes, like the most amazing apple pie you will ever have in your life and macaroni and cheese that tastes like your mom's, only better. Yummy Los Angeles restaurant = Kitchen 24.

Delish and Dressed-up Dining

I love Jar in West Hollywood if I'm looking for a lux Los Angeles Restaurant. It just exudes LA cool-ness. I went there last week for a friend's birthday and gorged on pot roast and the signature chocolate pudding. I could eat that pudding for a 100 years without getting sick of it. Sure, this Los Angeles restaurant is a little on the expensive side, but totally worth it for a unique dining experience. I just really love a Los Angeles restaurant that can take old favorites and create something new and exciting. Just make sure you remember to make a reservation (and to order the chocolate pudding, or I'll never forgive you.) I also heard they have a bomb brunch menu, so I'm totally going to check it out soon.

Yummy Yummy BBQ

As you can probably tell, I'm a huge proponent of Happy Hours. But then again, who isn't? They are the best ways to take advantage of Los Angeles restaurant deals. Another one of my favorites is Gyu-Kaku on Pico in West LA. The soju cocktails make the Los Angeles restaurant deals, I really love fruity alcohol. But the Japanese BBQ is to die for. It's such a cute, intimate setting. They have great-tasting food and there are even vegetarian options. Beautiful. It's one of those places you can always have a great time at, which makes it an amazing Los Angeles restaurant deal.

Espresso and a Patio: Perfection!

I'm kind of reluctant to tell you my new favorite place to study, because I don't want anyone else to go there. But it's such a great Los Angeles restaurant, or rather, cafe and I felt like being nice. Espresso Profeta in Westwood has hands-down the best coffee I have ever bought/tasted/smelled. It's literally the smoothest, most velvety coffee I have ever had at a Los Angeles restaurant. Not to mention the gorgeous outdoor patio, the delicious pastries and the free Wi-Fi. I could move into this place. It would probably be cost-effective too since coffee runs through my veins. Profeta is the the best Los Angeles restaurant known to man.

Chianti and Garlic Balls. Too Good.

Whenever there is a special occasion in need of celebration, my friends and I always go to C & O. It’s really our favorite Los Angeles restaurant. And it is essentially because of the bomb garlic balls, which make this Los Angeles restaurant really stand up. They are these little bread balls soaked in a garlic herb oil and they are delicious! And the house Chianti is a perfect complement to the fresh Italian food. I also like going to this Los Angeles restaurant for their brunch – the Eggs Florentine is amazing and then you can grab a coffee and walk along the beach. Can’t have a Saturday morning better than that!

Cupcakes Make My World Go Round

Sometimes I forget that finding Los Angeles restaurant deals don't just have to be for the ritzy dinner places on Sunset, but also for that bakery around the corner or my favorite taco truck. For instance, I always find myself at Sprinkles buying a little treat for myself and think to myself that its a bit of a splurge. But today, I found out that SocialBuy.com had a deal where you could buy a $5 voucher and get $10 worth of cupcakes and it literally made my day. Next time, I go to Sprinkles I don't have to choose between the Red Velvet or the Strawberry. Or I could give one to my boyfriend, but then again, maybe not.

The Perfect Start to My Day? Pancakes

Yum. Have you ever been to the Los Angeles restaurant called Griddle Cafe on Sunset? The pancakes and French toast are to die for; no Los Angeles restaurant does it better. The "Addicted to Noisella" stuffed French Toast is so good; so much Nutella! Other Los Angeles restaurants can't compete with the creative and delicious breakfast spreads at Griddle Cafe. Plus, it's normal at a Los Angeles restaurant to spot a celebrity there - Anne Hathaway was just there. You can't get a better seal of approval than that. Plus, it's the perfect Los Angeles restaurant for a lazy Saturday brunch or to take your East coast cousins to. Just be sure that you all order something different, so you can sample all the world-famous dishes!
